BREATHE GOOD with @walkgoodla

WalkGood LA is an incredible organization that has been creating accessible, healing spaces for underrepresented communities in Los Angeles since 2020. With its focus on wellness, mental health, and community connection, WalkGood LA has become a pivotal force in reshaping how we approach wellness—especially for Black communities. Through a range of events, including donation-based yoga, hikes, and healing circles, WalkGood LA has fostered a sense of belonging for many who might otherwise feel excluded from traditional wellness spaces.

One of the standout offerings from WalkGood LA is BreatheGood in the Park, a weekly Sunday event that brings people together to practice yoga outdoors, connect with each other, and recharge for the week ahead. As a guest teacher at BreatheGood several times, I've had the privilege of leading yoga sessions for an incredible community. There’s something uniquely powerful about being in the park with so many people, especially when they can see teachers who reflect their experiences, backgrounds, and identity. It’s moments like these that show how representation matters and why spaces like BreatheGood are so important.

Being part of the BreatheGood community and seeing the growth of WalkGood LA fills me with so much pride. I’ve always believed that wellness should be for everyone, and the work WalkGood LA has done in bringing this vision to life is inspiring. The organization has created a space where people can heal, grow, and feel supported by others who are on the same journey. I’m honored to contribute to that mission as a guest teacher, and even more so, I’m proud of how WalkGood LA continues to expand and offer a platform for those who need it most.

The impact WalkGood LA has made in Los Angeles is undeniable, and I’m grateful to walk alongside such a powerful movement.
